PGI Innovation Labs Corporate Video by ECG Productions in Atlanta, Georgia
The best way to capture the way a team works together is to film them in the thick of their process, in their native environment. That was the core goal as we planned our approach for PGi’s Innovation Lab overview video. We needed to highlight the hard work and collaboration that goes into everything at the PGi Innovation Lab, and what better way to accomplish that goal that to act as a “fly on the wall” in PGi’s collaborative space. Our main challenge was to capture the innovation process at work while also staying out of the way and letting things develop organically. In the interest of being non-obtrusive, we made lens, camera setup and audio decisions that allowed us to stay a comfortable distance from the action while still capturing everything we needed.
It was fascinating to see the PGi team in their element. We were afforded full, unrestricted access, and the results speak for themselves. In order to add visual interest, we added a dolly to the mix to add some dynamic motion to the shots we captured with the Sony FS7. We were also blessed with gorgeous weather and were able to capture some stunning exteriors of PGi’s Atlanta home at the Terminus building in Buckhead.
As you’ve read in countless blog posts we’ve written, we are firm believers that corporate video production don’t have to be drab, boring, talking-head based affairs. With a little creativity, meticulous planning and a team that can execute the vision, corporate video can be elevated from mundane to a highly engaging and even (gasp) entertaining proposition. We think you’ll agree that this video achieves that goal.
