Belgard - Contractor Call to Action

Calling All Contractors!

Every year, Belgard takes project submissions from contractors and then rewards the best ones with a spread in their catalog. So, they needed a really kick-ass contractor call to action! Enter Entertainment Creative Group. We wrote the script, covered the shoot, then handled the post-production. The voiceover and sweet animations were courtesy of our own Trey “Golden Pipes” Gregory and David Hixon. The result was concise, beautifully shot and animated video. You don’t even need to be a contractor to appreciate it! Client: Oldcastle

Project Story

Discover how Belgard’s contractor call to action video was crafted with strategic planning, clear approvals, and polished production to motivate submissions and build brand trust.

Help marketing and production leaders plan and produce effective contractor call to action videos that meet brand goals and legal requirements.

Why a Contractor Call to Action Needs More Than Just a Script

Belgard’s annual contractor submission campaign is a classic example of a call to action video that must do more than just ask for entries. It needs to motivate a specialized audience—contractors—with clear, compelling reasons to participate. That means every production decision, from scripting to post, must reinforce trust, professionalism, and excitement. For producers and marketers, the lesson is clear: your call to action video must be strategically planned to align with audience expectations and brand standards, not just look good.

Planning for Rights, Releases, and Approvals Up Front

One of the biggest risks in production is leaving rights, releases, and approvals to the end. Belgard’s video reminds us that legal and compliance constraints—such as music licensing, talent releases, location permissions, and brand claims—should be clarified early. This upfront clarity prevents costly reshoots or legal hurdles during delivery. Start your project by mapping out who owns approvals, what usage rights you need, and any regulated industry considerations. This approach lets your production team shape creative ideas around real-world limits rather than retrofitting solutions.

How ECG Shaped Belgard’s Video from Script to Screen

At ECG Productions, we handled Belgard’s contractor call to action video from concept through post-production. We wrote a concise script that spoke directly to contractors, captured clean, dynamic footage, and layered in animation and voiceover to elevate the message. Our voice talent and animators added personality and polish without distracting from the call to action. This integrated approach ensured the video was both beautiful and functional—ready for multiple distribution channels and approval workflows.

Key Questions to Guide Your Contractor Call to Action Video

Before production begins, ask: Who exactly needs to see this video? What do they already know about your brand or campaign? What proof or benefits must the video communicate? Where will the video be watched—on job sites, social media, or sales meetings? Who will approve the final cut? And what does success look like beyond just finishing the video? Answering these questions early helps focus your production strategy on outcomes, not just deliverables.

Next Steps: Bringing Your Contractor Call to Action to Life

Bring your goals, audience insights, deadlines, existing assets, brand guidelines, and required deliverables into your first production conversation. ECG can then recommend the right mix of pre-production planning, production support, post workflows, and approval processes tailored to your needs. Sharing references with notes on pacing, tone, and style helps us understand your vision faster and produce a video that truly drives contractor engagement.
