Project Write-Up

Valiant Entertainment | Quantum & Woody Animated Series Teaser

Did somebody say KLANG?

We here at ECG Productions are huge fans of comics. So it’s fair to say we “fan-boyed” a bit when Valiant Entertainment invited us to pitch some ideas for their upcoming slate of online content. Out of all the ideas we threw their way, this 2D animated series teaser for their series QUANTUM & WOODY was by far our favorite. This teaser has it all: quarrelling brothers, biting satire, and even a goat that shoots lasers from its eyes. Yeah, you read that right: a goat that shoots %@*$ing lasers from its eyes! A lot of hard work and dedication went into this spot. From scriptwriting, to illustration, to long animation hours, we did it all. And in the end: we’re proud of how funny this short turned out. Give it a watch and see for yourself: we promise it’ll get your goat. Client: Valiant EntertainmentProfile: Branded Video Content, Promos

Help readers understand how thoughtful animation production planning elevates branded content like Valiant Entertainment’s Quantum & Woody teaser.

Why Production Planning Shapes Animated Series Success

Creating an animated teaser like Valiant Entertainment’s Quantum & Woody requires more than just creative flair — it demands a production plan that anticipates every step from script to screen. Knowing your audience, defining the tone, and mapping out key deliverables upfront ensures the animation stays on message and on schedule. For this project, ECG Productions focused on balancing humor, character dynamics, and visual effects — like a laser-shooting goat — to keep viewers engaged and the story clear. This kind of planning reduces costly rework and keeps the edit protected throughout production.

From Script to Screen: The Production Workflow Behind Quantum & Woody

The Quantum & Woody teaser’s production journey began with tight scriptwriting that captured the series’ irreverent spirit. Illustration and storyboarding followed, setting the visual style and pacing. Animation then brought those frames to life, requiring long hours to nail timing, character movement, and effects. Throughout, sound design and voiceover recording were coordinated to match the animation’s rhythm. ECG’s production team maintained continuity notes and approval checkpoints to ensure each stage aligned with Valiant’s brand and creative goals, streamlining post-production and final delivery.

Key Production Questions That Drive Animation Projects

Before any animation project, answering practical questions saves time and clarifies scope. Who is the audience? What tone and style fit the brand? What assets already exist, and what new elements are needed? How will the animation be distributed, and what formats are required? Who signs off on creative and technical milestones? For Quantum & Woody, these questions shaped crew size, software choices, schedule, and review processes, helping ECG avoid surprises and keep the project on track.
