James Patterson & ECG Productions Team Up to Discuss COVID Prevention | I Care About You – Mask PSA
Oh, boy. What a year. 2020 brought many surprises with it, most of them terrifying, saddening, just plain crazy, or some combination of the three. The one that will define the year in the future, however, isn’t the murder hornets. It’s the COVID-19 pandemic, and the toll it took (and continues to take, as of this writing) around the world.
As the pandemic escalated, we quickly learned the importance of mask-wearing. Wearing a mask helps protect not only you, but everyone around you, too. So, when James Patterson wanted to make a PSA encouraging safe behavior, we leapt to join forces. Production was at an ebb during that time, due to intense lockdowns, but we used assets Jim’s team provided and members of our own team to help raise awareness. Wearing a mask is no one’s favorite thing, but given the alternative, it’s a sacrifice that just makes sense.
Lead Animator Trey Gregory handled the visuals in post-production, with an audio mix by audio engineer, Joe DiCosola. This video wasn’t complicated, so making it was a real no-brainer. In that sense, the video itself is a lot like wearing a mask!
