The Sony a7s ii shines the most in its low-light capabilities. Its full-frame Exmor CMOS sensor, coupled with its BIONZ X image processor, are capable of recording at an extended ISO range of up to 409,600 in both UHD 4K and 1080p. Internal recording options range from 30 fps at UHD 4K, to 120 fps at 1080p. Sony’s signature XAVC S format and S-Log color spaces fall seamlessly into place with any professional post-production workflow.
The a7s ii includes internal 5-axis image stabilization to help minimize visible camera shake. It also features WiFi connectivity, which enables you to sync the camera to a nearby smartphone and control it remotely. It is small, compact, and easy to transport; further, its lightweight body makes it compatible with several smaller gimbal options, including the Wenpod or the Glidecam. The a7s is compatible with E-mount lenses, but can be used with other lens mounts (EF, etc) via an adapter.
